We sit in the airline lounge. Having performed dozens of steps to get to this moment. We will have dozens more in the coming years, at least.

This change is really hitting us deeply right now. After 60ish years living, working, parenting, friending and traveling from the US. To say out loud we live in Italy now. Hits us in a weird way. Of course we retain our US citizenship and plan to return with some regularity. To end work, sell our home, say our goodbyes and see you soon’s. Can’t happen without some melancholy reflections.

Maybe we knew this feeling was coming but we’re so busy we didn’t have time to reflect.

So I guess we say Ciao America, but not goodbye. On to the next of many chapters and adventures.

Thanks to each of you for your support, love and friendships to this point. The best is yet to come.
